The impression score
In our previous videos, we covered the tricks riders will perform and how judges score them. Here, we dive into the impression score.
In the competition, your final heat score includes four scores rated from 0 to 10. Three are from your highest-scoring tricks. The fourth score is the overall impression score. This score can be a game-changer, setting Red Bull King of the Air apart from other Big Air events. It’s here to make sure the most complete extreme big air rider wins.
Judges evaluate a rider's heat from the beginning until the end of the rider’s heat based on:
Variety
Technical difficulty
Style
Execution
Commitment
Risk
Show/Wow factor
Innovation
Total crashes/butt checks/mistakes in heat.
