We’ve teamed up with Foil Drive, the inventors of the electric Foil Assist, to integrate Foil Drive technology into our Sonar AF80 Masts for electric assistance hydrofoiling with minimal drag, improved ride feel, and enhanced efficiency.

The Sonar FD Masts have a Foil Drive Motor Pod pre-installed at one of three positions. The greater the distance the motor pod is from your board, the more electric assistance it will provide while you’re foiling.

Purchase your Sonar Integrated FD Mast pre-assembled with a Foil Drive Motor from a Foil Drive retailer, and complete your assisted foiling setup with a Sonar Front Wing / Fuse / Stab. We recommend the SF Series, MAv2 Series and DW Series Front Wings.
