A North Foil Edition is a ready-made Sonar Foil System package that helps riders build a complete foil setup without choosing every component separately. North offers different edition options depending on how much guidance or customisation the rider wants.

Sonar Prime Edition - includes an easy-to-use freeride front wing, mast, fuselage and stabilizer.

Sonar AF Edition and Sonar CF Carbon Edition - include the mast, fuselage and stabilizer, while the front wing is chosen separately.

This gives riders a simple way to start, while still keeping the system modular for future upgrades.

Sonar Prime Edition - the easiest complete starting package. Includes a MAv2 Prime Front Wing, S270 Stabilizer, A700 Fuselage and AF80 Mast. Designed as an ideal starter kit for wingfoil progression.

Sonar AF Edition - the aluminium edition, built around an AF72 or AF85 Mast, A700 Fuselage and S270 Stabilizer. Front wing sold separately.

Sonar CF Carbon Edition - the lighter carbon edition, built around a CF72 or CF85 Mast, C700 Carbon Fuselage and S270 Stabilizer. Front wing also sold separately.

Choose Prime Edition for the easiest complete start, AF Edition for a durable aluminium setup, and CF Carbon Edition for a lighter, stiffer and more direct performance feel.

The Sonar Prime Edition is the best North Foil Edition for most beginners because it is built as a complete starter kit for wingfoil progression. It includes a MAv2 Prime Front Wing, which gives stable and accessible freeride performance, plus the AF80 Mast, A700 Fuselage and S270 Stabilizer. This means the rider gets a complete matched setup instead of needing to choose each part separately. The Sonar Prime Edition is especially useful for riders who want easier early lift, more stability and a simple entry into the Sonar Foil System.

Choose the Sonar Prime Edition size based mainly on rider weight and progression level.

PE 1200 - recommended for novice wingfoil riders under 65 kg.

PE 1500 - suits novice riders around 65-75 kg.

PE 1850 - suits novice riders around 75-85 kg.

PE 2100 - suits novice riders around 85-100 kg.

PE 2400 - suits novice riders over 100 kg.

Advanced riders can normally use smaller front wing sizes because they need less lift and can ride at higher speeds.

Each North Foil Edition includes a matched set of Sonar components, but the included parts depend on the edition.

Yes. The biggest advantage of the Sonar Foil System is that it is fully modular. Riders can start with a Sonar Prime Edition, Sonar AF Edition or Sonar CF Carbon Edition, then upgrade individual components later.

Front Wing - change for more lift, speed or glide.

Stabilizer - switch to tune control and turning.

Fuselage - change for more stability or faster response.

Mast - upgrade for more ride height, lower weight or higher performance.

Buy a complete Foil Edition if you want a simpler and more guided way to start with compatible Sonar parts.

Choose the Sonar Prime Edition if you want the easiest complete setup with a front wing included.

Choose the Sonar AF Edition or Sonar CF Carbon Edition if you already know which front wing you want but still want a pre-selected mast, fuselage and stabilizer package.
