North proudly presents Alex Hayes, the newest member of our International Team. The 26 year old calls both Sydney and the Gold Coast home, but he travels the whole world to explore the best foiling spots. His journey with watersports began at just 7 years old when he dove into surf lifesaving, learning to navigate the ocean and save lives. This early passion naturally grew into a love for surfing, but it wasn’t until he discovered surf foiling that Alex truly found his calling. Recently, Alex and Adam Bennett foiled the tidal river wave, which was mind blowing. It opened Alex’ eyes to what’s possible and the many locations that can be opened up with a foil.
Alex loves what he is doing, but one of his goals is to do it on a larger scale. Alex wants to grow and expand in what he is already passionate about, do more of it, and work towards becoming a leading figure in the foiling world. “My goal is simply to inspire others to believe in themselves and trust their own potential. If people can do that, they’ll be amazed at what they can achieve.”what they can achieve.
