MARS-13!
Since February, Fabian Muhmenthaler has had one trip highlighted on his calendar: Canary Islands in July. It was during this trip that he filmed Mars-13 with his close friend, Leo Hochgrassl.
Fabi describes the 13 days in Gran Canaria with Leo as a time when they could truly be themselves, fully immersed in the experience of creating and capturing the unique sense of freedom the location offered. “Our main focus was just spending time on the water, feeling free, and getting the sickest shots.”
When home in Tarifa, there are always different plans and things to do. That’s why Fabi liked that he could escape to “another planet” for this project, where it is just him and Leo, and they can fully focus on riding and getting the best shots.
“As I come from Tarifa, which is an extremely busy place, especially from spring to autumn, being in Gran Canaria, which is way more isolated and desertic, really felt like being on another planet.”
