Navigator - North's standard control system for reliable all-round freeride use across North kites.

Navigator Pro - the premium option for riders who want more advanced performance features, including auto-unwinding after rotations and a more refined riding feel.

Choose Navigator for everyday freeride and progression; choose Navigator Pro if loops, rotations and advanced tricks are central to your riding.

Bar width changes kite turning speed. A wider bar turns larger kites more effectively, while a narrower bar keeps smaller kites from feeling too reactive.

12 m and above - pair well with a wider 50-55 cm bar.

9 m and below - often feel better with a shorter 45-50 cm bar.

Always match the final setup to the kite model and North's current bar guidance.

The North Navigator is designed and optimized for North kites. Cross-brand use should not be treated as the default recommendation because line length, safety flag-out systems, depower throw and bridle geometry can differ by brand. For the safest and cleanest recommendation, match North bars with North kites and check compatibility before riding.

The Toolless InterLoop system lets riders change loop styles without tools, so one control system can be adapted to freeride, surf, freestyle or short-throw preferences. It makes the bar more flexible for riders who switch disciplines or prefer different chicken-loop setups.

A Short Throw control bar positions the trim and depower reach closer to the rider. It is useful for smaller riders, younger riders and anyone who cannot comfortably reach a standard trim handle while riding.

Replace kite lines if you see fraying, cuts, knots, uneven stretch, damaged sleeving, faded high-load areas or steering imbalance caused by unequal line length. Riders should inspect lines regularly because worn lines affect both performance and safety. Replacement lines and spare parts should be checked against the exact North control system model.
